Capabilities / Research

Research that keeps its sources attached.

Move from an open question to a sourced, reviewable synthesis without letting citations and assumptions fall out of the workflow.

03 / SECTIONSSearch broadly. Read critically. Synthesize visibly.
01

Turn a question into a research plan

Before searching, define the decision the research must support, the evidence that would change your view, and the boundaries of the inquiry. Models can help decompose a broad topic into testable questions and identify where primary sources matter most.

This makes research less about collecting links and more about reducing uncertainty in a deliberate order.

02

Compare, challenge, and synthesize

Use different models to search for evidence, question the emerging interpretation, and build a structured synthesis. Contradictions should remain visible until they are resolved—not silently averaged into a confident paragraph.

  • Source discovery and query planning.
  • Literature, market, product, and policy reviews.
  • Evidence tables and competing hypotheses.
  • Briefs with citations, caveats, and open questions.
03

A citation is not verification

Models can misread sources or generate plausible references. Open important sources, confirm that they support the claim, record dates and context, and distinguish fact from inference. DeThink supports the workflow; the researcher owns the standard.
